Matthias Putze

Nocturnal insectivorous bird, long-distance trans-Saharan migrant. Breeding distribution restricted to Iberia and North-West Africa (Camacho 2013; Forero et al. 2001), wintering range across Western Sahelian Africa, mainly in southern Mali and adjacent Niger. Moult occurs on the wintering grounds (Gargallo 1994).
